Hearts full of love | Valentines 2011
February 15, 2011
Happy Valentines Day! (or day after) but better late than never. I hope you all had a special day, celebrating, loving, enjoying the season of each other. Yes, it’s cliche and yes, it’s a holiday, but who cares, right? Although not everyone is into celebrating Valentines day, I think it’s special there’s a day set aside to show our love in a different way. Whatever Valentines Day means to you – I hope in whatever way you felt loved.
Here are a few pictures I took of the kids and how we spent Valentines day. We invited Layla’s cousins (and my sister) over to ice & decorate cookies, eat cookies, decorate Valentine hearts, and….well, eat more cookies.
My sweetheart and I spent a wonderful evening downtown Harrisonburg at the Chop House and Grill (new restaurant formally known as downtown 56). May I just say – by far the best food I’ve ever eaten at a restaurant in Harrisonburg. Not only did my food melt in my mouth, but it was all organic and local (icing on the cake) plus, the service was incredible.
How did you spend Valentines Day?
Chocolate covered cherries from Warfel’s sweet shop – just like the favors at our wedding!
The reason there are no “in the making” pictures of our cookies is because my hands were literally covered in icing and sprinkles
Ready for delivery to our valentines!
