Well, there are ALL kinds of fun things happening here on the blog! First of all, I have a new blog background which is so fun – I love that it not only compliments my branding, but it reminds me of a burlap bag of seed or something down on the farm Totally me.

This isn’t just a “normal” post. Yes, below you will scroll down and see the adorable 6 month old Sam. But before that, I have a few things I want to share with you. First of all, I just got back from attending Venn Workshop “The Southern Experience” with the two most amazingly wonderful photographers, Jodi Miller Photography + Kellan Studios.  I have a whole new outlook on my business and where I see it going thanks to this incredibly helpful workshop! Honestly, I really owe it to them.

So you may see a few changes to my little business in the next few months. (Good ones, of course!) First of all, I’m very excited to announce that I will be solely shooting families, children, and babies. This workshop made me realize how much I LOVE and adore every aspect of family photography. My husband just did a post on “Loving what you do”, and doing it GREAT. Giving all your time and devotion and saying no to everything else. Why not be amazing at one specific thing, then just OK with everything? Yes, it was an epiphany for me. My husband even says I light up when I talk about photographing newborns.

I’ll be focusing on you sweet families, and giving you the amazing attention you deserve. I want to find what makes your family, child or baby special, unique, lovely. I’m also in the process of offering some amazing new photo products where you can have your images displayed from your session. (Hint: Etsy store from Australia, amazing.) Before, my head was spinning in so many directions I didn’t even know where to start. I’m so thankful for this clarity!
