baby #3!

I can hardly believe we are just weeks away from meeting our 3rd little babe! I’ve anticipated, dreamed, and prayed for this sweet little one for months now + I can only imagine how incredibly beautiful the moment will be when we see his or her sweet face. (we’ve decided to let the gender be a surprise once again!)
My older sister mentioned a few months back I should consider doing maternity photos – I was definitely a little hesitant with being in front of the camera. You don’t feel your most beautiful (all those late night snacks + sweets for 9 months CAN catch up to ya!) I’m SO thankful I decided to let her take a few. Pregnancy is such an incredible gift and a miraculous way God shows his handiwork. Being the third child I still get butterflies and love fills my heart with each little kick or poke. It’s just plain incredible.
On the business side of things…I’ll be taking off some time as we learn to adapt to our new family of 5. I’m hoping to start shooting again come early spring! I can’t express to you how thankful I am as this year comes to an end, looking back at all the wonderful families I’ve learned to know, photographed + build friendships with. I can only hope 2013 brings the same + much more!

Shannon + Chris | Maternity

Shannon and I date back to high school. Spring break, dinner dates after school, tennis + volley ball together, the list goes on. We were as tight as tight could be. She went off to college in Kansas after high school when I was still a junior and although the distance was tough, nothing seemed different when we reconnected. These friends are jewels and will literally stick by your side for the long haul. I love this girl!
I was thrilled when Shannon told me she was going to be a mom! I knew she would be terrific in every way and my intuition proved right when they welcomed their baby girl a few weeks ago. I am SO excited to share with you baby Rutt’s newborn photos, but first things first. Enjoy my favorite maternity photos from the sunny summer days!
